Left the Big Girl at Home

July 25, 2011

I have a hard time leaving my “big girl” at home especially when I can just picture (no pun intended) the cool shots I just may get wherever I am heading. But sometimes, its important to just leave her in the bag, in the corner, at home. Tonight, I tucked my iPhone in my little purse and just left her at home. I’m glad I did. Did I get great photos of Eddie Money? Nope, my iPhone was not happy about me sitting in the front row and therefore, every shot I was taking was shooting directly up into the spotlight shining on Eddie. But, if I had been packing more than my iPhone, I would not have done nearly as much singing, hooting, hollering, dancing or just plain having an unadulterated, lack of self-consciousness, fun time at the show… We left the Hampton Beach Casino with our throats hoarse from singing, our ears ringing, and our chests still pounding from the base. It was a great show and a great night! Eddie, who is now in his 60’s, has still “got it” in my opinion. His voice sounded great! His spirit was incredible! He interacted with the crowd and truly appeared to be having a fantastic time. I was proud of him…..If at his age, he can still rock the stage and have the old (and young) girls screaming, well….maybe there is still hope for the rest of us! haha…. So glad I left the big girl” home! I will happily make do with the less than perfect iPhone shots, and just remember this night in my mind’s eye!
Cheers!
P.S. His encore tune was “Shake It!” And Eddie proved to us all he still could!

Way to go, Nan! I had no doubt that no only does Eddie still have “it” but so do you! Glad you had such a great time!

I think it is true that sometimes we are so busy “capturing” the moments, that we forget to live through them also! I’m glad the Big Girl stayed home and that you lived the life of the fan for the night instead of focusing on the best shot. Glad you had a great time.
    Love, Darla

Sounds like a great time! They pack you in so tight there the “big girl” might have needed her own ticket!
